I don’t remember how many times I’ve mentioned in my posts that I will try my best to become more active in updating my blog and how many times, after saying it, I disappeared for months (facepalm). It’s embarrassing. But let me try this again by maybe doing weekly recap posts? Let’s skip the weekend for this post because I could not remember what I did over the weekend. haha

I mostly cleaned our main living area and hung the wall decor we bought from At Home store two weeks ago. It took me an hour to hung this thing, but it was still crooked – oh well, that’s life.

Hubby made a salmon patty for dinner, and it was yummy! I missed his cooking, but since I started getting comfortable and confident with my cooking, I took care 99% of the cooking for our little family except for breakfast.

I finally finished the mock-up website for our organization. Hopefully, I’ll finish the “real website” by Monday next week, because it’s already long overdue.

I also started reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens for our bookclub’s book of the month. While the first chapter piqued my interest, I had difficulty understanding the characters’ conversations.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime Season 2 Episode 47 was finally out on Crunchyroll. Oh, man! I can’t get over Veldora’s obsession with manga or what he called “the sacred text.”

I picked up the book again and tried to read it, but I couldn’t. My head hurts so bad; I had to stop reading. I don’t remember what I did after that, but I remembered going food shopping when hubby got home from work.

We had rice, bacon, and sunny-side-up egg for dinner! Who says you can’t eat breakfast for dinner? No one. Haha, at least not in our house.

I slept in today. It’s more like I woke up at 1:35 am (and stayed awake until 4:30 to feed the furbabies) with Tofu’s paw on my face. She was begging for (can) food; of course, I said no. They have three bowls of dry food all over the house. She can eat those.

At 6 pm, I attended our neighborhood bookclub meeting. It was my first time attending the gathering, and the members were super friendly. I love them. I’m so glad I joined the club and found these ladies who love books as much as I do. I got home about 9:30 pm! So does this mean I finally experience the so-called “ladies’ night out?” haha.

Isn’t this pretty? Our host went above and beyond for our bookclub gathering!

My husband just told me I was such a dork! He’s already reading this even before I publish it. He’s such a sweet fan of mine and deserves a shout-out! Hi hubby!

I woke up late today, and I had a severe sinus allergy. But that did not stop me from getting up and catch up with Jessa! And while I was chit-chatting with her, I started cleaning my personal Facebook account – unfollowing pages and people and leaving groups that at one point in time were like a home/family to me but turned into a political debate field.

There’s so much negativity nowadays that it’s too much for me to take in. So I want to focus on positive things from now on.

Our book club’s next read is The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan. I ordered the paperback copy from Amazon, and it should arrive tomorrow – thank you, hubby, for your prime membership. And I also got the audiobook of it on Audible.

How was your week? Are you also a member of a bookclub?

  1. Where The Crawdads Sing is a good book for me! Although super big change sya feom the books I was reading before na more on YA. Haha. Iba ‘yung writing ni Delia Owens. Medyo malalim and andaming words na I had to search pa what it means. But I really like the story and the way she writes. Super beautiful! It’s super vivid na you can imagine it clearly in your mind. And this book’s ending is a chef’s kiss!!

The bookmark also reminded me of my small business! Hahaha super cute 💜

    • You’re right this book is beautiful. The ladies from the bookclub suggested getting the audiobook (I never thought about it). I’m almost finished reading it 😍😍. Pahingi naman ng book recommendation. hehe

Your shop’s bookmarks are beautiful. I just played around with resin recently because I want to make personalized bookmarks for the club, and I’m struggling.
