Hey everyone! It’s been a while since my last blog post. I actually had so many things I wanted to blog about, but I just could not find the time to sit down and talk about it (I still could not find the time).

Like other previous months, October has been very busy for me. I am honestly not sure if you even want to know what happened during this past month, but I’ll talk about it anyway. So here are the highlights of my October.

❀ I finally found the missing cents for the financial reports I’ve been working on for a couple of months. Yay! If you are an accountant like me, you’ll probably understand my dilemma – EVERY CENTS MATTER. It always bothered me when my records and the bank records do not balance at all. Tracking all those cents was no joke, it took me months to find them. Urgh

❀ I attended the second session of my Non-Profit Management class. As some of you probably know, I worked with a non-profit. I honestly have no idea how to run or manage a non-profit. My accounting degree had helped me quite a bit regarding financial management, but I feel like my accounting knowledge was not enough. So, I did my research and voila! I found out that Winthrop University offers Non-Profit Management classes. You guys! The classes in this program and the instructors were amazing! I have learned so much from the two class sessions I attended (so far). Also, I got meet 29 other people who share the same passion and dilemma as me. (It feels good to know that I am not alone in this endeavor).

❀ I just used the last page of my journal today. So, I decided to start with a new one in November. I always keep a journal with me; you can say that it’s a hobby of mine. I used to decorate my journal- attached printed pictures, used colorful washi tapes and stickers (you get the idea, right?). But this year, I stopped decorating it. My reason? I could not find the motivation and inspiration to decorate it. So, this month, I will try to decorate it again. Do you guys want me to share my journal on Instagram? Do you also keep a journal with you? I would really love to know.

❀ I finally bought a 32 inches curved computer monitor. I thought it was going to be too big, but honestly, for someone who always works with Excel spreadsheets, a monitor this big is fantastic. Also, my husband replaced the legs of my work desk with two Alex drawers from Ikea. Now my office and desk are more organized than ever.

❀ I saw a hot air balloon for the first time in my life! I think it’s amazing!

Many things happened, and I could perhaps write a book about it; and it will probably be perhaps most boring book you’ll ever read. So, I just thought about sharing the highlights of my October, hoping that it won’t bore you to death. Though I was physically and emotionally exhausted, I was happy. I cannot find the right words to describe my feelings as of this moment. But I am overly delighted even though I am tired. And I cannot wait to find out what November has in store for me.

How about you? What are the highlights of your October? And what are you looking forward to next month? Let me know in the comment below. Also, leave links to your blogs below so that I can visit and read your blog posts.

  1. Show your journal 😍😍 I’ve been a user of planner for the past years already but for 2019, I decided to make my own bullet journal! I’m excited to decorate and write with pretty pens. Though, I hope I’d be consistent and not just do it on the first or two months. Haha!
Your work desk looks pretty, too! 😍

    • I will start uploading pictures of my journal then! haha. And I would love to see your bullet journal as well. I tried bujo last year, but I am not cut out for it. Being consistent in creative planning is really challenging. I was good at keeping up with it for a while, but as soon as my schedule got too busy, I couldn’t even find time to put a single washi tape down! 🤣🤣

Thanks, sis 😍 This desk is actually my husband’s. I told him it’s too big for his office, so he gave it to me a year ago. Now, he replaced the legs with drawers! I’m spoiled, aren’t I?

      • True! So I hope I’d be consistent with mine and not get frustrated when I see that my handwriting or doodles aren’t pretty enough 😂

Spoiled, indeed! 😋 it’s so motivating to work when one has a pretty desk, though 🤗
